Bali Partners With the Arbor Day Foundation for a Greener Future
Middleton, WI - April 27, 2010
Springs Window Fashions announced today a partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation to plant 100,000 trees in the coming year.
All of the new trees will be planted in areas where the natural forest has been devastated by wildfire, insects or disease.
This new partnership expands Springs Window Fashions' Bali Green by Nature™ program.
"We've been a Green company for over a decade, and this new partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation takes our Green philosophy to the next level," said Lisa Vandermause, retail channel marketing manager at Springs Window Fashions. "The partnership focuses on two of our environmentally responsible products, Wood Blinds and Natural Shades. Our Bali Wood Blinds are harvested from managed forest land using sustainable logging techniques, and our Grayling, Michigan manufacturing facility has adopted "waste to energy" processing to make sure all of the wood is used responsibly. Our new Bali Natural Shades are crafted from fast-growing renewable resources like bamboo, jute and grasses. Their roots are left intact for fast regrowth in one to three years and to prevent soil erosion," said Vandermause.
