Safety Device from Springs Window Fashions
Wins Award for Technical Innovation

A new locking tension device for corded window treatments from Springs Window Fashions has been awarded Honorable Mention in the 2012 Window Coverings Manufacturers Association (WCMA) Product Awards. The tension device was recognized as a Best New Technical Innovation in the category of miscellaneous products and specialty applications.

The device is an integral part of the continuous cord-loop lift system that is available as an option on cellular, pleated and classic Roman shades marketed under the Bali brand.

The new locking tension device, which attaches to the window sill or wall, is simpler in design and provides smoother operation than the former cord tensioner. For improved safety, the new device makes the continuous cord-loop lift inoperable unless it is installed correctly.

The new device is easy to install because the cord does not need to be under tension, and more attractive than its predecessor due to its smaller profile.

Continuous cord-loop lift systems are a popular choice in homes with children or pets because they eliminate the potential safety hazards of an exposed cord loop. They also offer a clean, uncluttered appearance that is particularly well-suited to contemporary decorating styles.
